I'm a beginner, which classes do you recommend?

Whether you:

  • Enjoy dancing but have never stepped in a dance class
  • Would like to expand your hobbies
  • Are looking for a social group to be a part of
  • Are looking for a fun alternative to the gym
  • Struggle with mental health and could do with some endorphins and good vibes,

our beginner classes are open to people of ALL BACKGROUNDS, ALL SHADES AND ALL STORIES.

We currently run a number of ‘Beginner’ or ‘Beginner Friendly’ classes every week. Styles include: Hip Hop, Dancehall, Twerk, Heels On, Afrojam, Afro in Heels. For more detailed information you can check out our current timetable HERE.

Do you have classes on the weekend?

We do not currently offer adult classes over the weekend as Saturdays are reserved for our Junior Classes! You can view our adult timetable HERE

Do you do private lessons?

Maybe you need help preparing for a performance, maybe you want to organise a fun activity for yor next event, or maybe you have looked at our beginner classes and just don’t feel ready to dive in yet.

Private classes are definitely something we can provide! Prices vary dependant on your needs, so please feel free to flick us an email to discuss: DANCE@ELANDANCE.COM.AU 

Should I wait until the beginning of term to join a class?

ADULTS:

All our adult classes run on a casual basis, so feel free to start whenever you like! Our teachers come with brand new choreography every week so you never need to feel like you will be behind if you miss class.

KIDS:

Kids are encouraged to commit to a full term upon signing up for membership. An Open Day  is held at the beginning of every term for children to trial their class before committing. We do understand however that sometimes life gets in the way, so feel free to send us an email: dance@elandance.com.au and we will be happy to discuss enrolling your child mid-term.

How much is it per class?

An Adult Casual Class is priced at $23, however we offer many other flexible pass options including memberships featuring classes as low as $12.42

How much does kid's membership cost?

Kids memberships are direct debited monthly, and new dancers will be billed for a minimum of 3 months. Once this period is completed, any new or existing memberships can be cancelled without charge provided two weeks’ notice is given before the end of the current dance term.

  • A $44 cancellation fee is applicable if a membership is cancelled without the required two weeks notice.
  • Memberships do not include the annual enrolment fee of $33.
Which class would suit my child's age?

BEASTIE BUBS

Our Beastie Bubs Program is suitable for kids aged 3-5 years of age. Styles offered include: HIP HOP

LIL’ LEAGUES

Our Lil’ Leagues Program is suitable for kids aged 6-9 years of age. Styles offered include: HIP HOP

BEAT BREAKERS

Our Beat Breakers Program is suitable for kids aged 10-13 years of age. Styles offered include: HIP HOP, CONTEMPORARY & AFROJAM

TEEN TOASTERS

Our Teen Toasters Program is suitable for kids aged 14-17 years of age. Styles offered include: HIP HOP, CONTEMPORARY & AFROJAM

How do I enrol?

Get started with your personal dance account from Punchpass:

  1. Create password
  2. Purchase pass
  3. Book class

It really is that simple!

Can I do a trial class?

Trial classes are welcome before signing up for membership or a longer class pass.

ADULT CASUAL: $23 – Purchase your pass HERE.

BEASTIE BUBS CASUAL: $15 – Purchase your pass HERE.

KIDS CASUAL: $20 – Purchase your pass HERE.

How do I reserve a spot for class?

Reservation is required before class to ensure our studio isn’t overbooked! You are able to reserve class by logging into your punchpass account. If you experience problems reserving class, feel free to shoot us a message and we will be happy to reserve a spot for you!

24 hours notice is required for cancellation of class. Late cancellations or no shows will still be charged for class.

How do I purchase a pass?

You are able to purchase a class pass or membership by logging into your punchpass account. Alternatively, we can accept cash, eftpos or bank transfer at reception.

What does 'Open Level' mean?

Whether you’re a beginner or been dancing all your life, our timetable boasts classes perfect for your skill level. 

Beginner: Open to anyone wanting to kick start their dance journey!

Intermediate: You’ve been taking classes for a while and feel ready to level up your skills.

Open Level: These classes are open to all skill levels, while still being classified as ‘beginner friendly’.

I'm coming straight from work, are there change rooms available?

Dancers are more than welcome to use our large bathrooms to change into their dancewear. We also have waiting room facilities to stash your belongings during class.
