Welcome to Èlan Dance Est! Our classes are structured to accommodate dancers of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced movers. Here’s a quick guide to help you find the class that’s right for you:
 

ABC (ABSOLUTE BEGINNER COURSE)

    Who it’s for: If you’ve never taken a dance class in a studio environment, this is the perfect place to start.
   What to expect: A welcoming, step-by-step introduction to the basics of dance.
   Duration: Offered in 5-week blocks, it’s recommended that students stay in this level for about 6 months to build a solid foundation.

101 CLASSES

Who it’s for: Graduates of the ABC series, classes that don’t have an ABC option, or dancers with some basic knowledge who are ready to take the next step.
What to expect: A deeper exploration of the dance styles techniques and choreography, building on the fundamentals.
Duration: Recommended time in this level is 1 year, perfect for solidifying skills and gaining confidence.

LEVEL 2 CLASSES

Who it’s for: Dancers with at least 2 years of constant dance experience who are looking to challenge themselves further.
 What to expect: Intermediate-level choreography and techniques designed to refine your skills and introduce more complex movements.
 Duration: Tailored for those committed to advancing their dance, with a focus on continuous improvement.

LEVEL 3 CLASSES

 
Who it’s for: Advanced dancers with 3 or more years of dance experience seeking to push their boundaries.
What to expect: High-level choreography and performance opportunities, focusing on mastery and individual style development.
Duration: For dedicated dancers aiming for professional-level proficiency and creativity in hip-hop.

BOOK A SPOT 

Grab a pass and book yourself in.

DRESS COMFORTABLY: 

We want you to feel good, so wear clothes that allow you to move & won’t restrict your dancing. Check class descriptions for footwear suggestions.

STAY HYDRATED:

Bring a water bottle and take breaks when you need. 

WARM UP:

Before class starts, warm-up to prepare your body for movement and help prevent injuries. 

ARRIVE EARLY: 

Give yourself time for traffic, to check-in, get changed and take a breath before class.

LISTEN & OBSERVE: 

Your instructors will have great suggestions so make sure you’re listening. 

RESPECT PERSONAL SPACE: 

We all might love to put on a show, but keep an eye out and be mindful of the space around you as you dance. 

ASK QUESTIONS:

If you’re unsure about a step or concept, don’t hesitate to ask the instructor to help, maybe they can explain it differently or show you another way. 

HELLS YES! 

Be proud of yourself for dancing, whether you felt super slow or it was like coming home to yourself! Like the old saying goes we all gotta start somewhere right! 

COOL DOWN: 

Cooling down is just as important as warming up, take a few minutes to stretch and let your body settle. In winter make sure you pop layers back on before you cool down too much.

REFUEL: 

A combination of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats, can help restore energy levels and support muscle recovery. 

REST & RECOVER:

Give yourself a break and take time to rest & recover between classes, rest is crucial for allowing your muscles to repair and strengthen whilst assisting in injury prevention.

Once you’ve done 6 weeks of 101 classes you’ll be absolutely wanting to grab a membership, to get to more classes (we know you’ll love it that much!) ….. Of course you can grab a membership even earlier to use for our 101’s too!
